Abstract

In spite of important advances in environmental matter in Colombia, the socioeconomic dynamics that characterize the rural and urban spaces influence in the generation of environmental imbalances, stamping, certain singularity like that on the sustainable development of the nation. The high plateaus like other environmental assets are an object of specific forms of relationship, supporting serious processes of degradation and transformation, originated principally in the change of use of the soil, and to the development of sectorial and agricultural inadequate activities. This work makes use instruments of political economy of the environment, to examine the complex interaction between the society and the nature in the geographical space of Gabriel López, assuming the analysis of the conjuncture and the structure associate productive of the zone, the principal environmental impacts on The Delicias high plateau; And realizing a monetary estimation of the alterations in the well-being of the local inhabitants opposite to the problematic. To end up by indicating facts for the construction of a mechanism of incentives that environmental associate should support the studding in the zone.
