Abstract

MACUACE O, RONALD A. A SOCIOECONOMIC APROXIMATION TO THE IMPACTS OF PHENOMENON OF FORCED DISPLACEMENT IN THE TOWNS OF EL TAMBO AND TIMBÍO. Rev.Bio.Agro [online]. 2009, vol.7, n.1, pp.91-101. ISSN 1692-3561.

The present article comes up as a result of the project so-called "Integral Attention to Displaced and Vulnerable Population in Education, Labour Training and Generation of Incomes in Huila and Cauca" carried out by Fundación Manuel Mejía (FMM), within the framework of the Program of Attention to Displaced and Vulnerable Groups of the United States Agency to International Development (USAID) through the Fundation Panamericana for the Development (FUPAD). The document it carries out a description about what is known like forced displacement in Colombia. Once known the phenomenon context, it is carried out a description of the process guided by the FMM, followed by a characterization of the population in condition of displacement in the towns of the El Tambo and Timbío, from the data processing acquired through surveys, emphasizing some of the consequences that this social phenomenon generates. Finally, it is given the pertinent conclusions and recommendation.
