Abstract

LEGARDA - LOPEZ, DIANA; BENAVIDEZ - CUESTA, GALO  and  RUIZ - ERAZO, HUGO. RESPONSE OF THE RAIGRASS AUBADE GRASS (Lolium sp.) TO SILICON DOSAGE IN INTERACTION WITH DIFFERENT DOSES OF NPK. Rev.Bio.Agro [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.1, pp.99-109. ISSN 1692-3561.

The present work was carried out at the township (corregimiento) of Catambuco, municipality of Pasto, located at 01°06'33 N and 77°19’07.8 WO. The effect of silicon on the NPK absorption in the Raigrass aubade grass (Lolium sp.) in a Typichumitropeptssoil was studied. A complete randomized blocks design was used, with three repetitions and 10 treatments distributed in high, medium and low NPK doses (High: 529 kg/ha of urea, 72 kg/ha of SFT, 160 kg/ha of KCl. Medium: 397 kg/ha of urea, 54 kg/ha of SFT, 120 kg/ha of KCl. Low: 265 kg/ha of urea, 36 kg/ha of SFT, 80 kg/ha of KCl), contrasted with high, medium and low Si doses (High 100 kg/ha, medium 75 kg/ha, low 50 kg/ha of SiO2), in addition to a control without Si fertilization. High Si and high NPK doses presented better results in plant height (101 cm), production of green forage (167,2 Ton/ha/year), dry matter (27,44 Ton/ha/year), and concentrations of P (leaves 0,53% and root 0,42%) and K (leaves 3,11% and root 2,27%). When applying high and medium doses to the soil, P and K concentrations decreased. The high NPK and high Si treatments presented the highest economic benefit, followed by the NPK half-dose and high Si treatment.

Keywords : Fertilization; Silicon; Synergism.
