Abstract

Soil fertility is affected by its acidic characteristics, causing limitations in the availability of phosphorus because it is absorbed or precipitated with iron and aluminum. The objective of the work was the search for endophytic bacteria phosphorus solubilizers of coffee variety bourbon and its evaluation in the promotion of growth in the coffee crop. Roots were taken, which were subjected to superficial disinfection, then macerated, the bacteria were isolated and characterized, by phylogenetic allocation (16S RNAr) and evaluation of the effect of inoculation on growth in seedling coffee. The results showed that coffee has phosphorus-solubilizing endophytic bacteria, from which 18 strains were obtained with assignment to Gammaproteobacteria (72 %), Firmicutes (22,3 %) and Betaproteobacteria (5,5 %). The End-F-34 and End-F-5 strains stood out for their ability to solubilize phosphorus, these were used in the seed inoculation test in coffee. it is concluded that the var. bourbon has phosphorus solubilizing microorganisms with endophytic habit and ability to stimulate coffee plants in their growth, these results generate great expectations for the use of the strains as biofertilizer.
