The design, implementation and management of productive agricultural systems that include the incorporation of the tree component as a strategic axis to safeguard ecosystem diversity in the regions is vital when preserving local biodiversity and recovering the ecological connectivity of forest fragments in watersheds. The heterogeneity of the landscape, the diversity of crops in productive agricultural systems and the analysis of dispersed trees in productive rural properties are part of the constituent aspects for the study of connectivity at local and regional scales, determining changes in vegetation cover, the provision of genetic material and even establishing local points for ecosystem restoration actions. This research evaluated the land covers of 32 farms located in the municipalities of Chipaque, Cáqueza, Quetame and Guayabetal, in the east of Cundinamarca and analyzed the connectivity indicators generated by the remaining trees in order to establish indicators that will allow optimizing reforestation processes in the future. Eight properties were selected for each of the municipalities. The information was collected directly in the field based on measurements of areas, cover and floristic inventories on a property-by-property basis. Fragstats software version 4.2.1 was used to facilitate the analysis of the information. The study shows that, in some cases, the most abundant cover corresponds to pastures, but in other cases there are important patches of forest that can be considered to guide future reforestation processes more efficiently.
