Abstract

This research investigates the gender representations in print media. The theme covers the female spaces in which significant changes are presupposed, comparing to the women representation within media in the past. The analyzed corpus will consist of reports and advertisements published at the paranaense Journal A Bomba. This approach uses theories linked to the Culture History. The goal is to show that magazines representan instructive instance, both by producing subjectivation pedagogical mechanisms and dispositives to the readers and chiefly for expressing current and legitimated speeches within a socio-historic context.
