Abstract

The neurosciences have allowed the establishment of new avenues for understanding the behaviors that have a legal effect, especially violence. Therefore, the study evaluated the performance of executive functions (FE) in a group of men who have a history of intimate partner violence. The FE are defined in the study as essential mental abilities to carry out an effective, creative and socially acceptable behavior. Rey Copy, Stroop, Wisconsin, TMT and Porteus Mazes: For data collection, the following tests were used. The results indicated that the group of men batterers have a better performance; aspects that facilitate interaction of these people with the social environment in which it operates and encourage proper interpretation to reality, allowing generate adaptive responses to situations that generate discomfort. These results contribute to the conceptual framework empirical level since legal psychology has been built for your understanding. It also reaffirms the need for intervention from the individual's needs.
