The present work has as purpose to know how human management is carried out, approached from its practices in the small manufacturing companies of the Boyacá industrial corridor. Based on a qualitative research supported by a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview, some of its practices are analyzed as a relevant result of the bibliographic review, which are: the selection of personnel, training systems, career opportunities, performance evaluation and compensation. It was found that there is an incipient use of practices due to the centralization of power in the owners, the lack of economic resources and the lack of strategies linked to the important role of people within the organization.
