The study carried out by the Family Research Group of the U.P.B., characterizes the internal dynamic of the different familiar typologies in the communes 1,2,3,8 and 9 from the Municipality of Medellín which participated in the project about "Early Prevention of the Violence, Education and Upbringing Guidelines" that was developed between January 2001 and September 2002, with the funding of the Municipality of Medellín and the BID. The internal dynamic of 536 families arranged by typologies was analyzed in the following way: 204 female one-parent families, 11 male one-parent families, 173 widespread families, 109 simultaneous families and 39 compound families. The information was taken from the home visits records and interviews which were applied personally by the consultants who were in charge of the formative process and orientation with the families of the children from the participating Educational Institutions. It is important to annotate that the intervention model includes the application of a questionnaire to evaluate the behaviors in the boys and girls between 3 and 11 years old (COPRAG), which permits to identify if the children are in risk to take on aggressive behaviors. According to the score got by each boy or girl in the test, they were classified in two categories: index (indice) who appeared with more risk and no index (no indice) who appeared with less risk. For this reason the analysis of the information was done differentiating one group from the other. The variables of the internal dynamic were: authority, communication, affectivity, and upbringing guidelines. Therefore, it was investigated how the families notice the physical and emotional health of the boys and girls.
