BOTERO GOMEZ, Patricia  e  ALVARADO, Sara Victoria. Niñez, ¿política? y cotidianidad. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2006, vol.4, n.2, pp.97-130. ISSN 1692-715X.

This research project described children's understanding of informal rules that are constructed in their daily experience in marginal or peripheral contexts that operate as political socialization environments, and the ways in which those children legitimate, resist and shape reality. The main objective in this study was to understand the variations undergone by the two central concepts under study: "childhood" and "public", variations which question their traditional understanding based on invariant functional structures independently of history and particular cultures. Finally, from the analysis of these children's discursive practices, cultural regulations and representations, this paper points out the emergency the category "public as accessibility", intended to broaden the meaning of "public" beyond the categories more usually asociated with it, such as space, goods, and expression forum.

Palavras-chave : Public; accessibility; exclusion; daily; political socialization; childhood; marginal conditions; space; goods; expression forum.
