This paper attempts to analyze several avenues of bibliographic production about political violence in Colombia, in order to understand the processes of armed mobilization and the militant committment of youths. From this viewpoint, through a review of the most relevant academic literature on violence and internal war, the authors intend to widen the current research categories about young armed subjects by delimiting a set of questions and problematics of theoretical and methodological import that try to capture the mobilization forms in the field of Colombia’s internal war.
