The objective of my article is to analyze the orchestras of children and youths projects as a public policy designed to enable the process of social integration of groups of children and youths in conditions of impoverishment at the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires and at the Provincia de Buenos Aires in Argentina during the 1998 to 2010 period. The study is based on the practices of some of the orchestras developed within the "Orquestas Infanto-Juveniles" (Orchestras of Children and Youths project) and the "Proyecto de Orquesta Escuela" (School Orchestra project) respectively.
