Abstract

BARRETO, Maribel. Ethical-methodological considerations for research in early education. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2011, vol.9, n.2, pp.635-648. ISSN 1692-715X.

In studies carried out in early education, it is not common that both male and female researchers describe either methodological and ethical dilemmas that they encounter while doing their work or the way they perceive both boys and girls in the course of their research. This article aims at starting a discussion that will help to solve this problem by presenting the ethical and methodological consideration from a study where boys and girls with ages ranging from four to six years were recognized as participants and social agents, capable of communicating their opinions and perspectives.

Keywords : Research; boys and girls; early education; methodological strategies.
