Abstract

VERONICA, Egas  and  SALAO, Emilio. A psychoanalytic perspective on community work: Supporting the process in group construction of knowledge. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2011, vol.9, n.2, pp.899-911. ISSN 1692-715X.

The article presents a psychoanalytical approach for a prevention group work, aimed at child workers and their families. The group work approach offer to the participants a non-directive meeting space based on the flow and interchange of the spoken word. The participants themselves spontaneously introduce the topics to the conversation. Thanks to the unobtrusive presence of an accompanying psychologist, the participants look for and propose possible answers to their questions and doubts. This work is based on data obtained from The Psychological Care Project, conducted in five cities in Ecuador, during four years, with over three thousand participants.
