Resumen
ALBUQUERQUE, Maria Betânia B.. Knowledges of the ayahuasca and educational processes in the holy daime's religion. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2012, vol.10, n.1, pp.351-365. ISSN 1692-715X.
This study approaches the knowledge of ayahuasca, drink of indigenous origin made from the combination of liana and leafs from an Amazonian bush, used in different cultural contexts like is the case of Brazilian religion met as Holy Daime. I start the presupposition, stated by self hymns of the doctrine, that daime (ayahuasca) is a teacher and in the religion is experienced an educational process where a set of knowledge is circulated and learned. Methodologically, results came out of a bibliographic, documental and field research. This study has as sources, the bibliography about the ayahuascas religions, the hymns notebooks of Holy Daime and the realization of interviews with daimists from Brazil and other countries. Theoretically, the analysis is inspirited in the studies of Carlos Rodrigues Brandão about the education like culture and in the perspective of Boaventura de Sousa Santos, restricting this text at the notion of "ecology of knowledge" of this author. Among the main knowledge of Daime, I emphasize here eco-environmental, cognitive, esthetics, medicine and peace contributions.
