ELVIRA-VALDES, María Antonieta e PUJOL, Lydia. Self-Regulation and Academic Achievement in the University-Secondary transition. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2012, vol.10, n.1, pp.367-378. ISSN 1692-715X.
The aim of this study was to identify levels of academic self-regulation and its relation to academic achievement and selected demographic variables in university students. In this non-experimental research study participated a total of 172 students of the Cycle Initiation from the University Simon Bolivar University. Self-regulation was conducted by PCR Regulated Learning Scale (Lezama, 2005). The results suggest moderate levels of self-regulation in learning, as well as slight differences in gender, type of institution and significant statistical difference between selfregulatory reflection and academic achievement. In addition, the positive correlations found between income and index score of final academic, suggests the association of prior academic success with academic scores.
