Resumen

BOTERO, Patricia; VEGA, Mónica  y  OROZCO, Mauricio. Intergenerational Relationships: Implications in processes of political formation of young people. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2012, vol.10, n.2, pp.897-911. ISSN 1692-715X.

Abstract: Intergenerational relationships, demonstrated in seven experiences of political action involving young people in Colombia, signal some trends with respect to the processes of political education, from biographies and collective narratives in different contexts. To this end, this article will address intergenerational trends that extend the concept of political socialization, such as the implications on the dimensions of history, identity, intercultural practices, and in particular processes of self-education and co-creation. It is very important to note that this text does not seek to make comparisons between the experiences to find common trends. In contrast, it seeks to recognize the distinctions and differences in processes and ways of socialization and political education practices directly related to the cultural contexts young people inhabit.

Palabras clave : intergenerational relationships; political action; political socialization; politics.
