Abstract

ROSAS-LONGORIA, Rubén Alejandro  and  GARCIA-GARCIA, Víctor Daniel. Social Juvenile Comptrollership: Rendering of Accounts in the State of México, 2009-2012. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2014, vol.12, n.2, pp.565-581. ISSN 1692-715X.  https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.1224120314.

In Mexico, the right of access to government public information is consecrated in the Political Constitution, which has made it possible for procedures and administrative mechanisms to be created, which has strengthened the practices of transparency and accountability. From exercising the right toaccesspublic information and the use of mechanisms of rendering of accounts, in this article we recover information from a research work whose objective was to evaluate the public policies for the youth implemented in three Mexico City municipalities, in the 2009-2012 three-year period. The methodology consisted in comparing the variables that the three municipalities shared. The results evidenced that the municipal study administrations did not manage to approve civic exercises of transparency and accountability in regards to public policies on the subject of youth.

Keywords : Youth; public policies; political communication; youth participation; youth organization; access to information; municipal government.
