Abstract

KRIGER, Miriam. Youth politicization in contemporary nations. The Argentinean case. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2014, vol.12, n.2, pp.583-596. ISSN 1692-715X.  https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.1225310314.

The present article begins with a historic revision of the hegemonic invention and the counter-hegemonic construction of the youth in the National States and its relation with politics at various moments, in order to come to the current Latin American context. The passage from de-politicization to politicization of the young in the last decades is discussed, offering theoretical-methodological perspectives for the placed approach, based on recent research by the author as well as on a revision of the state of the empiric issue in its context. Finally, guidelines are proposed for a psychosocial approach, considering politics as a dimension of the amplest link with the nation‘s "common project", and considering the youth as a complex, plural and historic category.

Keywords : youth; nation; politics; Argentina.
