Abstract

FRANCO-CORTES, ãngela María  and  ROLDAN-VARGAS, Ofelia. Sense of responsibility with the health: the perspective of subjects which mobilize this right. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.2, pp.823-835. ISSN 1692-715X.  https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.13219200614.

This article presents the results of a research that was realized by the objective to understand the sense that has the responsibility on health for the members of social organizations which act for the right to a healthy life. Qualitative research backed epistemologically as well as methodologically on hermeneutics and social phenomenology. The study revealed three tendencies regarding the sense of responsibility that guide individual as well as collective actions: responsibility like compassion (a Judeo-Christian perspective) and service attitude with those who are sick; as a tension between the State and resistance/action of the citizens towards the right of the services; and as a political commitment and attachment to a collective project.

Keywords : responsibility; ethics; health; community action.
