Abstract

CASTELLARO, Mariano A.  and  ROSELLI, Néstor D.. Verbal collaborative communication in three ages and two socioeconomic contexts. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.2, pp.879-891. ISSN 1692-715X.  https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.13223160514.

The research analyzes differential characteristics of verbal collaborative interaction among 4-, 8-, and 12-years-old children, from advantaged and disadvantaged socioeconomic contexts. The study assumes a socio-constructivist approach of development, which supposes to understand it as a socio-interactive process crossed by the context. It was used a developmental-descriptive design. Participants were 41 dyads that performed a block construction task. The verbalization was analyzed by categories ad hoc. According to age, the main differences were observed between 4- and 8-years-old children. According to socioeconomic context, the main differences were registered in ages of 8- and 12-years-old. Conclusions suggest that development of inter-subjetive collaboration, as the main causal factor in cognitive growth, is directly linked to development of communicative and regulatory language function.
