Abstract
CASTILLO-GALLARDO, Patricia Eliana and GONZALEZ-CELIS, Alejandra. Children, dictatorship and resistance: sons and daughters of the Chilean left (1973-1989). Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.2, pp.907-921. ISSN 1692-715X. https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.13225290914.
This research paper aims to recover the voices of children of Chilean left-wing activists through an analysis of their symbolic production and records of daily life such as letters, drawings and objects created between 1973 and 1989, as well as interviews recorded in documentaries produced during this period that are located in the Memory and Human Rights Museum in Santiago, Chile. This information was analyzed using the perspective of new childhood studies. The authors reflect on how children develop their own judgments and sense of reality and develop ethical meaning that dialogues with intergenerational heritage but surpasses it, reflecting their active participation in the construction of an affective community that transcends blood ties.
