Abstract
GARCIA-GARCIA, Víctor Daniel. Youth Entrepreneurship: An assessment with university students. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2015, vol.13, n.2, pp.1221-1236. ISSN 1692-715X. https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.13246200315.
This text reflects on one of the strategies that Mexico has employed to address the crisis of decent employment. The objective was to investigate the intentions that young people studying at university have regarding entrepreneurship. Through the application of a survey with a sample of university students, the results show that even though there is a strong media strategy to associate entrepreneurialism with young people, this population has not yet adopted or adapted their practices to include the entrepreneurial dynamic. The author concludes that youth entrepreneurship represents an adequate strategy to: (1) address the crisis in decent employment; (2) empower young people, provided that there are material and cultural conditions for engaging in entrepreneurial initiatives.
