This paper reports on the production of meanings that constitute and mobilize youth organizations. Through a qualitative approach, the author analyses the action frameworks that guide young people’ s ideologies, motivations, and emotional ties linked to their internal relationships, interactions with other actors and contextual and structural conditioning. The scope of this article is to highlight the use of environmental conditioning and individual experiences as levels of analysis that in practice intersect to produce collective meanings and "move" youth organizations in specific contexts.

Keywords : youth organizations; collective action frameworks; production of meanings.
