Abstract

GUERRERO, Patricia et al. Socio-educational workshops in childhood using a situated approach. Rev.latinoam.cienc.soc.niñez juv [online]. 2017, vol.15, n.1, pp.249-265. ISSN 1692-715X.  https://doi.org/10.11600/1692715x.1511504112015.

The following study consists of examining a practical group intervention with children called "social-educational workshops" that use a critical perspective. These workshops focused on different psychology-related areas as a way of giving children the power of being listened to, considering them as subjects of rights. The methodology of the study involved a systematic review of materials, reports and interviews with professionals over a period of two years, illustrating the contributions and the tensions involved in working with children. The results show the sustainability of these workshops based on affective relationships, the adaptability of the workshops to participants' needs, their inclusive nature, but also the complexities of the application of these kinds of work procedures.

Keywords : Childhood; group dynamics; psychosocial intervention; psychological theories.
