In this era of modernization, countries are in constant change, progress and transformation, strengthening their technical and cognitive skills to generate greater value to raw materials available. Therefore, the level of development of a country is limited to the generation of knowledge capacity, human resource training and development of new technologies. The necessary and adequate conditions to increase the competitiveness of agricultural production; and promoting the use of non-conventional energy sources are stipulated in the regulatory framework for rural development and use of renewable energies. However, in many countries are networks of knowledge which allow grouping the human and technology capacities to have the possibility to get more and better resources. This paper present the importance and participative rol of the International Network for the Promotion of Research and Teaching in rural Energization and Agroindustrial Sustainable Development (PRIDERAS), in the promotion of research in the different region in the country that that through the formulation and implementation of projects by the academic community and research have strengthened the development of agribusiness and FNCE present in Colombia.
