This article aims to document the process of Booking or Export Reserves' Management, executed by the International Freight Forwarders (IFF); those who are in charge of the transportation process from coordination to execution, allowing the goods to reach international clients. The methodology to characterize the process is IDEF0, through which the inputs, outputs, constraints and mechanisms involved in each stage of the process are modeled from the point of view of a load agent. Finally, an information exchange model was built according to the reality of the Export Booking Process that involves the different actors in the supply chain and serves as a basis for the development of the most advanced models of process architecture, improvement of interoperability and business integration.
