This paper is based on the experience gained through the development of a dissertation that explores the original meaning of the concept of care, in order to propose this care as a central component of an integrative process of formation of the person. The following reflections are the specific findings of a long process that reveals the meanings that students, teachers and parents give to the concept of care, from their own life experiences in their school context. This research will, in this way, contribute to the findings on the processes of the subject's ethics identity formation in the school.
