Abstract

LERCHUNDI, Mariana J  and  BONVILLANI, Andrea. Youth and wrongdoing regulations. An "experience" of detention. Justicia Juris [online]. 2014, vol.10, n.1, pp.43-52. ISSN 1692-8571.

The Youth Wrongdoing Regulations is a provincial level legislation on the pretext of preventing crime and ensuring social harmony holding citizens under ambiguous and vague figures and subjective and arbitrary criteria. Intentional selectivity preferred application to the youth of popular sectors, as they look "suspicious". The article first briefly describes the social and political context in which this code applies. Subsequently, it goes to security paradigms, and then move on selectivity in the implementation of Code. From these general parameters, specifically the notion of experience that shows the ongoing detention of a youth from the city of Rio Cuarto (Cordoba, Argentina) is exposed. Each instance narrated, showing the various manifestations of stigmatizing and unconstitutional actions of the rules stated.
