The Constitutional Court today looms large in every aspect of Colombian society. Judicial activism has been through transcendental judgments in recent times. This has generated controversy in the legal political landscape of the State of Colombia. However, its role has certainly been crucial in protecting the rights and control of powers, which is a contribution to the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution, which gives it an indisputable democratic legitimacy, constitutional jurisdiction
