The reality of indigenous communities in Colombia remains a concern issue in state and government spheres, as well as Non-governmental organizations and some sectors of civil society. The main issues that define the reality of these communities are poverty, lack of education and health, public services, and effects of the internal armed conflict as seen on the consolidated historical data. For the Department of Antioquia, there is an investigation aimed at the construction of a public policy benchmark for the defense of territory by Pierre Muller approach, which results in the construction of public problems resized the current reality of the communities set in Antioquia, and this one can reach an official agenda as the first component of the approach to public policy cycle. This article presents the results of some work made with indigenous communities in El Volao, Las Playas and La Palma, located in Uraba, with which different instruments of oral history were applied in a rescue of communities as subjects' groups, with the average for the input of the reference collection of public policy.
