The conciliation procedures in law has shown itself as the method suitable for the large number of intersubjective conflicts qualified as an effective and reliable tool, with all the advantages of being essentially a justice that reconstructs social field, which should be understood as a social and judicial institution tool. This article is the result of an advance research on the effectiveness of extrajudicial conciliation in law and settlement mechanism intersubjective conflicts skilled in the municipality of El Espinal - Tolima in Colombia. To do this, it is conducted a thorough study of the private offering (notaries, Chamber of Commerce and Cooperative University of Colombia at El Espinal) conciliation court of law in the municipality in question. It was found that the institution of extrajudicial conciliation in law in the private offering is the least known, with low levels of use, also, it is poorly articulated with the rest of the offer. It is recommended that to strengthen the institution more widely required and articulate with the public offering of the municipality of Espinal.
