Abstract

MARTINEZ DE VELASCO, Luis. ¿CAN WE REALLY CONCEIVE A DEMOCRATIC STATE? JÜRGEN HABERMAS AND DOUBTS OF A LIBERAL SOCIETY. Eidos [online]. 2008, n.9, pp.198-239. ISSN 1692-8857.

From his theory of communicative action (1981) until his later political writings, the philosopher Jürgen Habermas has put on the juridical language the main responsibility of describing the essence of Civil Society. That's why the habermasian analysis becomes a defence of a capitalistic conception of the actual society, turning around a strict notion of individual.

Keywords : Individual; positive law; liberalism; capitalism.
