CAMARGO-CASALLAS, Luz Helena; GARCIA-SANCHEZ, Lady Astrid e LOPEZ-QUINTERO, Homar Alirio. Metrology applied to the calibration of a neonatal incubator. Rev.EIA.Esc.Ing.Antioq [online]. 2020, vol.17, n.34, pp.143-154. Epub 02-Set-2021. ISSN 1794-1237. https://doi.org/10.24050/reia.v17i34.1331.
The calibration establishes the relationship between the indications of a measurement instrument and the indications of a pattern computer, that takes an instrument to a convenient working statement for its usage, understood not only as the process of taking indication data. A complete process of calibration also implies the estimation of the measurement uncertainty, there is no guarantee that a measurement is 100% correct, and there is always some degree of "doubt", known as uncertainty of measurement. This article presents the development of a calibration procedure of a neonatal incubator in the variables of relative dampness and air temperature, following the guidelines of Metrology's Spanish Center. Finally, correction factors were established for each variable, so that way the users can apply the necessary corrections to guarantee environmental ideal conditions for the newborn child.
