Abstract

ARIAS GALLEGOS, Walter L.; HUAMANI CAHUA, Julio César  and  ESPINEIRA, Evelyn. Positive psychology Representation in Peru. A bibliometric study in ten peruvian scientific journals from 2000 to 2016. Rev. Guillermo Ockham [online]. 2017, vol.15, n.2, pp.75-94.  Epub June 22, 2021. ISSN 1794-192X.  https://doi.org/10.21500/22563202.3276.

In this study, a bibliometric analysis was made, by reviewing the Peruvian journal of psychology in order to value the reception of Positive Psychology by Peruvian psychologists. We reviewed ten psychological journals edited in Peru, according to our inclusion criteria, and we detected 1,701 works published, of which, 1,138 were signed by Peruvian psychologists. Only 35 works correspond to Positive Psychology, which represent the 3,7 % of the publications made by Peruvian psychologists. From these documents, the 45,2 % were bibliographical works (books reviews, theoretical papers and a comment), while 54,28 % were empirical research, being the correlational method the most used in the papers published, before the comparative, descriptive and predictive.

Keywords : Positive psychology; bibliometry; journals of psychology; peruvian psychology.
