In 2016 and after more than fifty years of armed conflict and multiple attempts to carry out the Comprehensive Rural Reform (RRI), the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army (FARC-EP) guerrilla group reached a final agreement to end of the Conflict and the construction of a stable and lasting peace, where the first point, called Towards a New Colombian Field: Comprehensive Rural Reform, is projected as a possibility to solve the problems of the rural sector. The objective of the research was to analyze the perception that the students of agronomic engineering of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (UPTC) regarding the RRI. The scientific method of measurement was used with the Likert-type attitudes scale and factor analysis. The conclusions indicate that agronomic engineering students conceive the recognition of the peasantry as a fundamental component of the RRI, in addition to accept their intervention in Rural Development beyond technology transfers.
