Abstract

QUIROGA PARRA, Martha; VARGAS JAIMES, Freddy  and  CRUZ SUAREZ, Andrés Eduardo. Social Work and Social Responsibility: Notes for an Ideological Discussion. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2010, n.12, pp.175-193. ISSN 1794-2489.

The relationship between Social Work and social responsibility is grounded on its historic and conceptual links, from which a contradictory system arises between its objective and the way how the operating feature of social responsibility affects the scope of the discipline, at least in its theoretical grounding component. The analysis of those contradictions underscores the pertinence of an inquiry on ideological systems dynamizing interactions between individuals at the social base, its interaction with the State and the environment, as well as the premises guiding the Social Work professional practice.

Keywords : social work; social responsibility; economic liberalism; human development; reflection - criticism.
