This paper describes and analyzes patrimonialization of a series of archaeological pieces in order to analyze some dimensions in the formation of local state. This work focuses on a recent process performed at a small village in the department of Meta. My proposal oscillates between two dimensions related to each other. On the one hand, in the processes, practices and discourses by agencies and officials acknowledged as state representatives; and on the other hand, on their effects in daily life and experiences of groups and people living apart from our state institutional system. Thus, my aim is to point out how actions by experts and officials, throughout twenty years, have permeated the visions and life experiences of inhabitants under the inspection's jurisdiction.
