Abstract

RODRIGUEZ, Ramiro. Power/knowledge practices in the expertise discourse. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2014, n.21, pp.185-196. ISSN 1794-2489.

Based on Michel Foucault's work titled Abnormal, and references to writings by Gilles Deleuze, we address the expertise discourse standing at two power practices: as a control and normalization technique, and as a relationship of forces distributing the power of affecting and being affected between the terms behavior and act. With this, we intend to approach crime, such as it is presented by experts under their scientific truth, and to determine their role as guardians of the social body.

Keywords : Expertise; power/control; normalization; act; behavior; crime.
