Abstract

FALLA RAMIREZ, Uva  and  VELAZQUEZ ARIAS, Juan Guillermo. An overview of professional intervention by social workers through subjective meanings following Schütz-approach. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2014, n.21, pp.229-245. ISSN 1794-2489.

The subjective meaning built by social workers concerning professional intervention is addressed in this paper. In order to approach such a building, the research team is performing a qualitative study. What is presented here corresponds to the first findings gotten in that process of social research. To this effect, we begin by understanding that subjective meaning is located in the layer of the phenomenon of meaning, taking as a point of departure the accomplished act or completed experiences the action in progress has produced, and that induce reflection. According to Schütz this implies to distinguish between two experience structures -living in the internal consciousness and living in homogenous time- where the first one is of interest for this research.

Keywords : Internal consciousness; subjective meaning; action; act; professional intervention.
