This article is based on a research by the author entitled Decolonizing the Mind. Imagining a New World Civilization. The research presents a theoretical framework for Decolonizing the Mind that takes into account the contributions that different civilizations have made to knowledge production. This article discusses the different responses in Latin America to colonialism. It looks at decolonial concepts that have been produced by the social struggle of the people in Latin America.
