Resumen

VALIENTE, Silvia. Thinking from the side opposite to the abyssal line. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2016, n.25, pp.379-397. ISSN 1794-2489.

This paper invites to think how a given art product articulates to some concerns developed by Latin American philosophy at different times in the 20th century, on the one hand, and to proposals advanced by thinkers from the so-called global South. More concretely, I analyse the extent to which Santiago-Argentinian singer Horacio Banegas’ work bring, from folkloric music, a form of knowledge close to post-abyssal thinking. In this case, it is interesting to analyse, to what extent his lyrics and music helps us acknowledge spaces of heterogeneity as an integral part of our identity and subjectivity, without sliding into the parochial or provincial? Finally, thinking from the other side of the abyssal line calls for acknowledging an endless diversity of wisdoms, and opening social sciences towards other non-scholar wisdoms, as proposed by the artist mentioned.

Palabras clave : post-abyssal thinking; subjectivity; spaces of heterogeneity.
