CHAVEZ PLAZAS, Yuri Alicia e RAMIREZ MAHECHA, María Lucero. Social representations on territory among a group of rural women in the municipality of Viotá, Cundinamarca, based on the Havana agreements. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2018, n.29, pp.295-314. ISSN 1794-2489. https://doi.org/10.25058/20112742.n29.14.
Relying upon common sense, we intended to identify social representations about territory, as built upon by a group of rural women in the town of Viotá. This study follows a qualitative approach using Ross’ Network of Associations as an instrument. From a semantic sequence, we were able to show social representations featuring a strong identity related to their municipality, their territorial space and production activities, and social organization being developed there. Those elements were an input to guide behaviors for claiming territory, as an element that benefits the construction of stable long-lasting peace, as a central issue in the agreements discussed in Havana.
