In this text, I will trace some encounters happening throughout a process of premium quality bovine meat in Southern United States. By attending material, discursive, and affective encounters -given they make bodies- this work looks at cattle production, where rather than a set of practices directed toward meat production, it is glimpsed as a collection of touches, frictions and breakups. In this line, a set of reflections are put forward on how animal life and death is made up through contemporary productive processes.
