fte investigative experience herein reported was developed in the municipality of Viotá, (Cundinamarca, Colombia) among peasant women belonging to community organization Seeds of Peace and Hope for Women Victims of Armed Conflict (Asociación Semillas de Esperanza y Paz de Mujeres Víctimas del Conflicto Armado -Asepamuvic) in the village Altos de Ceylan. ftis investigation aimed to acknowledge, re-signify, and leverage local wisdoms in environmentally-friendly, agronomic production practices, as well as social organization aspects. Work was carried out in three stages: a productive project, teamwork, and instruction on biodiversity-how to know, conserve, restore, and use aromatic herbs. ftis was done through a dialogue of wisdom to further ongoing reflection and discussion with female participants, aiming to rescue their traditional cultural wisdom through daily practice. ftus, organized growing processes were strengthened. fte results show the complexities when developing community sustainability-oriented projects in culturally diverse settings permeated by historical processes that have brought about structural inequalities in the countryside.
