Abstract

BAUTISTA SEGALES, Juan José. Thinking Marx from Latin America? The Problem of Decolonizing Contemporary Critical Thought. Tabula Rasa [online]. 2022, n.42, pp.153-185.  Epub July 10, 2022. ISSN 1794-2489.

This article attempts to critically review Karl Marx's thought from the perspective of the Latin American experience, in order to extract a series of reflections that allow us to decolonize contemporary critical thought. Contemporary readings of Marx's work continue to show several issues related to its Eurocentrism. This article advances the hypothesis that if we look at Marx's work from the perspective of Latin American thought, we can get a new series of critical reflections towards decolonial and transmodern critical thought.

Keywords : Marx; decolonization; critical thought; Latin America.
