In the 21 st century, Marx remains an unknown author, not only because of the limited access to his work that has not been published entirely even in the German language -this being an ongoing work within the Marx-Engels Gesamtausgabe Project, or because of flawed translations, but fundamentally because the 20 th-century Marxism did a biased reading, strongly influenced by Stalin’s Marxism-Leninism. This hindered the discovery of critical thinking central theses that are still valid today, and opens a door not only to economic criticism, but also to a critical look of modernity as a civilizing project.
