Abstract

CEBALLOS HURTADO, Gloria Inés. Dreams of appropriate letters: A recollection and memory exercise. Hallazgos [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.20, pp.19-33. ISSN 1794-3841.  https://doi.org/10.15332/s1794-3841.2013.0020.01.

This paper contains a reflection that arises from the teaching experience: the importance of writing in the learning process as a socializing tool, but especially as a tool for the recovery of historical memory and the eyes of the subjects as individuals and as part of the community. I decided to do the same academic and research exercises applied in the classroom and confront my teaching role, so that I can make the corrections that might be required in this process of mutual learning. In this case, the objects of study for the research were students. The aim was to make life stories with some of them, so that they could collect, from interviews, field notes, photographic records and personal documents, relevant information to write a text to present their college and personal life and, on this basis, establish a dialogue that transcends individual history.

Keywords : memory; writing; narrative; identity.
