MALAVER CRUZ, Nancy. Literature, history and memory. Hallazgos [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.20, pp.35-47. ISSN 1794-3841. https://doi.org/10.15332/s1794-3841.2013.0020.02.
This article points out the close relationship between the concepts of literature, history and memory. First, it discusses the similarities between the activity of writing fiction (i.e. imagined events) and writing about history (i.e. past events). For this, the article analyzes the ideas of philosophers such as Hegel and Nietzsche. The importance of literature, in terms of the construction of historical memory of the different groups, is pointed. Specifically, the paper refers to the genre of history-fiction, exemplified by some of the masterpieces of Jorge Luis Borges and Ricardo Piglia. It also offers a brief presentation of the topological discourse theory, proposed by White, especially his idea of linguistic mediation, as well as some comments made about this topic by authors like Ricœur and Genecco.
