Abstract

OSPINA NIETO, Yovany. Pedagogy and its impact on the training of subjects. Hallazgos [online]. 2013, vol.10, n.20, pp.157-170. ISSN 1794-3841.  https://doi.org/10.15332/s1794-3841.2013.0020.10.

This article presents a set of reflections on the current status and quality of higher education. It explores how, from the classroom, the teachers can contribute to this arduous task by assuming a more active and transforming role, which implies substantial changes both in their training and in their professional practice. In this paper, we analyze the individual character of training, which is originated from the social encounter in everyday life in order to recognize the conditions that make the subject an educable person and, finally, to go for a pedagogy that thinks about humans and the education, and not just about education. Furthermore, how the recognition of an educable subject in the educational act and the function of school in the urgent need to learn to live together are analyzed.
